Associative and cultural activities

The GREST during 2008 took part in several demonstrations.

5TH EDITION OF THE FORTNIGHT MATERNAL TONGUES
1-Participation to the launch of the 5th edition of fortnight mother tongues by the publishing house EDILIS and the Association Know to Live Better [Association Savoir pour Mieux Vivre] (SAPOMIVI) on April 25th, 2008.
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, madam DREHI Mical organized a Press lunch at the office of the Foundation MEMEL Fôté in Cocody.
A speaking time was given to the GREST, at this occasion to present the structure. At the end of the ceremony, we were approached by different persons, in particular the representative of Radio N’GOA of the city hall of Koumassi Mr GNAGNE Gbedji; Mrs Director of the small school etc.

2-Participation to the activities of this 5th Edition
The theme of this fifth edition which effectively took place between August 13th and September 6th is: mother tongues, ethnic admixture, social cohesion and national reconstruction.

FESTIVAL " MARVELS OF HERE "
Participation to the festival initiated by the Association Cultures in party to celebrate the " MARVELS OF HERE " on the 7 to the 10 in May at the National library. The festival celebrated at first the people of culture: letters, Theater, Plastic arts, Fashion etc. it also aimed at allowing young creators to become known. Several specific commissions owed besides the practical organization, to work around the themes brought out by the organizers of the festival.

The GREST exposed at this opportunity the work on the bow net and the bulletins of tales. Our stand was visited and we opened an exercise book where the visitors made their impressions. Many messages of congratulations and encouragement were sent to us.
With not enough means, the first edition of this festival had the merit to put in contact numerous structures in the convergent objectives: school Hope; AEVAMCI; GREST, Culture in party and young creators who at the conclusion of this first edition intend to constitute a federation to better support themselves and make discover and appreciate the cultural creators. Culture in party decided to revive this festival.

FESTIVAL THE READING ENJOYMENT
Participation to the festival the Reading Enjoyment organized by the District of Abidjan and the I3C association, on July 27th, 28th and 29th, 2008 in the municipalities(Communes) of Cocody Riviéra ( Complex BOGA security blanket), Treichville (Palace of the Culture), Yopougon (Square FICGAYO). On the invitation of Mrs KOUAMOUO Nadine, president of the Association, the Reading Enjoyment, the GREST cheered up any youngs by tales. Here also we were given the opportunity to meet artists among the group of storytellers the DANITE.
