Our projects

Our project will articulate around four main facets:
* 1. The creation of an electronic library with a database relative to the traditional knowledges.
* 2. The inventory and the setting in writing of the "native" technology (The most important facet) * 3. The collection of tales, legends and riddles.

Virtual library and database.

We began to make an inventory from the files of the libraries of the University of Cocody and its various institutes to list the existing works on the question. We plan to set up soon a database which will list essentially documents treating subjects below mentioned.
Then we shall put on-line documents if possible in complete or whole text.
The facet concerning the traditional technologies

It will contain two aspects:
* culturales techniques
* instrumental technology

Culturales techniques
The various modes used by the local populations to cultivate or pick the various sorts of plants: food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic etc. will be investigated in this section.

The instrumental technology
It will contain the following sections (collections):
Traditions and Cultures: instruments of fishing Traditions and Cultures: instruments of hunting Traditions and Cultures: tools of cooking(kitchen) Traditions and Cultures: musical instruments
Traditions and Cultures: religious Objects; objects of devotion
Traditions and Cultures: movable and real estate
Traditions and Cultures: clothing arts and hairstyle
Traditions and Cultures: "industrial" technology
Traditions and Cultures: medical and pharmaceutical technologies traditions
Traditions and Cultures: miscellaneous

The tales and legends facets
If our project aims at the know-how, we make an exception for the tales to which have already paid personally our attention. Our ambition is to list the oral literature around the Imagination through all Ivory Coast. This facets will so contain: The collections of tales, legends, proverbs and riddles
Our investigations allowed us to notice that this work started in the GRTO, (Group of Research) On the Oral Traditions) which gathered transcriptions of tales of several ethnic groups of the country. We approached this institution and proposed it our collaboration to insure the translation and produce of selection of tales. At the same time, continues our own collection. We wish to publish (edit) all of our productions.
Our forward desire is to constitute a corpus on which the ethnographical studies would be possible.

A group of animation
At the same time as the documents are collected, is at present set up a group of storytellers – presenters a cultural meetings. This group will give recitals in schools, cultural centers, cultural events, festivals etc.
