Our Mission

The GREST is a Non-governmental organization created in 2006. it is exactly situated in Côte d’Ivoire precisely in Abidjan in the municipality (Commune) of Yopougon.

Objectives:
The group assigns the following fundamental objectives:
a) Insure a general mission of research and of documentation around traditional know-how of the peoples of Côte d’Ivoire.
B) Promote and defend the custom of the traditional knowledges of the Ivorian by its structures, its practices.

Means and Activities

1. Means
To achieve its missions, the GREST engages (starts) all the necessary means in particular:
a) A research team for the implementation of the policy of the group
b) A documentation center for the broadcasting, the preservation of the realized works
c) A service of publications of works, regular bulletins, articles in the newspapers.
d) The cooperation with the public institutions of higher education, with the institutes and the bodies of the same nature or with the national, foreign or international public institutions.

2. Activities
The following actions will be led for the realization of its objectives:
A) Undertake researches for educational and cultural order, as well as works of popularization, the organization of colloquiums, interventions, etc....
B) List, collect and exploit archival documents and publications of all kinds being able to contribute to the activities of research.
C) Insure, the publication of its research works, of its analyses and reflections.
D) Lead any legal activity allowing to reach the fixed objectives.

The resources of the GREST result from:
A) Contributions of its members.
D) Subsidies of the State, the regions, the departments and the municipalities(Communes), the public institutions, as well as the national and international institutions.
E) The product of contracts crossed with the thirds.
F) The product of the services supplied by the group, the subscriptions, the sale of publications etc.
G) With resources created exceptionally corresponding to the object of the association.
H) Interests of incomes, the possessions and values of the association
I) donations and legacy of sponsors, and benefactors.
