News for the activities of research

The GREST, during 2008, took part in several activities of research.
The festival " MARVELS OF HERE " The festival initiated by the Association Cultures in feast to celebrate the " MARVELS OF HERE " (Côte d’Ivoire) on 7 to 10 May at the National library. It was a question of realizing documentary files around pioneers, and persons having marked a particular cultural domain in Côte d’Ivoire.
The GREST brought its help for the bibliographical research on:

1. The Thinkers: men of letters and Social sciences: Georges NIANGORAN BOUAH, Harris MEMEL FOTE, Barthélémy KOTCHY, Charles NOKAN, Jean-Noël LOUKOU etc.

2. The Plastic arts: the GREST had so the opportunity to discover in the world of the Painting Arts, Sculpture the biography and the works of major figures as (LATTIER, christian, Christian DELATTRE and al.). In painting Vohou Vohou launched by a shawer of young artists, makes its road … We realized a collection of the portraits of this creative youth.

3. Fashion. In the field of Fashion also of many Ivorian in Côte d’Ivoire, and those of the Diaspora work, from materials of the country and make the promotion of traditional technology: the loincloth of raffia for example by Miss ZAHUI; looms for Michèle YAKISS etc. We realized a catalog of these celebrities and a bibliographical magazine from on-line sources, which with the cooperation of Culture in Party. We would like to publish. Documents are available, in the database.
The GREST exposed to this opportunity the work on the bow net and the bulletins of tales. Our stand was visited and we opened an exercise book where the visitors made their impressions. Many messages of congratulations and encouragement were sent to us.
With not enough means, the first edition of this festival had the merit to put in contact numerous structures in the convergent objectives: school Hope; AEVAMCI; GREST, Culture in party and young creators who at the conclusion of this first edition intend to constitute a federation to support itself better and make discover and appreciate the cultural creators. Culture in party decided to revive this festival
